Some homeowners in Clarkstown say they’re fed up with commercial trucks driving through their neighborhood, and they’re reaching out to the town for help. The residents live along Doscher Road, which connects Route 59 to the Western Highway, near several commercial businesses. Neighbors complain that trucks are constantly driving down their street at various hours of the morning and evening to a recycling transfer station a few blocks away.
Clarkstown officials say the hamlet’s downtown will become more congested if traffic is diverted.
